Automakers Betting On Smaller Cars

When you think of exceptional cars that are built in Europe, does your mind run strictly to cars made by Rolls Royce, BMW, or Mercedes? Of course, there are many other foreign automakers that make cars in the US that are hurting in South Carolina (BMW) and in Alabama (Toyota, Mercedes) and in Ohio (Honda) and all of these companies provide mega jobs and are every bit as much a part of our manufacturing base here.

And because of Germany being extremely reticent when trying to develop its automotive industry, they opened the floodgates for American automobile manufacturers like General Motors who bought out German automaker Opel and Ford Motor Company who possessed a very successful subsidiary in Germany.

For a country of just nine million to produce one automaker would be amazing enough. All domestic automakers have to react upon potential new entrants anytime soon. And what we know …
